We had a fantastic stay at Cooinda Lodge Kakadu! The Lodge Room was comfortable, clean, and well-appointed, offering everything we needed after long days of exploring the national park. The bed was especially cozy, and the air conditioning was a blessing in the tropical heat. The location is unbeatable – right in the heart of Kakadu, making it easy to access nearby attractions like Yellow Water Cruises and Jim Jim Falls. The lodge grounds were beautifully maintained, with lush surroundings that made us feel connected to the environment. We also enjoyed the on-site restaurant, where the pizza was delicious and other dishes showcased local flavors. The pool area was perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure, and the whole atmosphere of the lodge was peaceful and inviting. If you're looking for a base to explore the wonders of Kakadu, Cooinda Lodge is the perfect place to stay.

It's in a lovely location in Kakadu Park which is in the middle of nowhere. It's right next to Yellow Water Billabong which is perfect for taking the dawn cruise on the wetlands which is a must. The restaurant is great with a delicious breakfast including fresh juice (orange, carrot, ginger, beetroot - you make your own), fruit, yogurt, bread, eggs/bacon etc. Dinner was also good and they have some 'local' food like barramundi, croc burgers and kangaroo steaks. We stayed in an eco tent which had a very comfy bed and kettle for coffee, fridge, a/c etc. My husband was annoyed the wifi didn't reach the room but I was happy! We used the shared bathroom facilities which were very good - clean and with towels and soap provided.

Great location. We stayed in a glamping cabin, quiet, comfortable, beautiful view of the forest from our cabin (outside row), nicely appointed. Good aircon and fans. Communal shower and toilet block clean and nice toiletries, paths lit overnight, so easy to get around. Lovely staff. Restaurant well misted with water mist to keep down mosquitoes, I actually wasn't bitten, which is unusual! Bar and restaurant nice. Didn't get to use the pool unfortunately, but it looked nice. Could recommend taking a yellow water cruise, and a 4WD tour with Never Never Safari Tours. So much beauty to see near to Cooinda, including Nourlangie Rock Art.

We had a Lodge Family room for the 2 of us, which was spacious with good air con. Onsite restaurant and bistro were good. We had nice meals. The terrace was comfortable with water misters. There are 2 pools with gardens and sun beds. The lodge is a perfect location for the Yellow River cruise excursion, which is a must do whilst in this location. It was also well located following our excursion to Ubirr walk and lookout. Just down the road it is also worth a visit to the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre.

The rooms were ample for our one night stay, plenty of parking and we loved the pool area. We ate all of our meals at the restaurant and we were happy with everything we ordered. It was lovely to eat outside and the atmosphere was excellent. Staff were helpful and friendly and answered our questions with a smile. We used the shop for some basic supplies and purchase our fuel here too. Perfect location to do the Yellow Water Billabong Cruise and we went back to the walkways to watch the sun set.
