Cooinda Lodge Kakadu

The best beds ever, like laying on a cloud. We stayed in an eco tent. They don't have bathrooms, so you do have to walk to the amenity block. It was extremely clean and well looked after. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower block were lovely. The staff were so good, gave us all of the tips for a great holiday Food at the Bistro although pricey, was excellent.

Location is great, eco tents are set in a lovely bush area surrounded by birds. Early morning wake up was lovely. Beds amazing. Room had great air con, fridge. Walking distance to the Yellow Water billabong.

The highlight of our stay, if not our trip, was the sunrise yellow water tour. It was easily the best tour we’ve ever been on - in part because of the unbelievable beauty of the waterways and wildlife, but largely from the generous and insightful knowledge of our tour guide, Adam. His warm sense of humour and respect for the cultural significance of the country really made it a great experience. We also had dinner at Mimi’s which was delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised by the availability of plant based options as someone vegetarian and dairy-free. The store also had alternative milks and vegan ice cream. The room we stayed in was simple and thoughtfully designed, and very comfortable (aside from the few rogue spiders).

Great location and facilities, we stayed in the glamping spent time at the pool enjoyed the bistro it had everything you needed and more. Loved the convenience of having a drying rack in the room the assortment of teas and the free to use washing machine and dryer. The shop was also well stocked and it was great to be able to book the yellow water cruise from there as well.

We had a fantastic stay at Cooinda Lodge Kakadu! The Lodge Room was comfortable, clean, and well-appointed, offering everything we needed after long days of exploring the national park. The bed was especially cozy, and the air conditioning was a blessing in the tropical heat. The location is unbeatable – right in the heart of Kakadu, making it easy to access nearby attractions like Yellow Water Cruises and Jim Jim Falls. The lodge grounds were beautifully maintained, with lush surroundings that made us feel connected to the environment. We also enjoyed the on-site restaurant, where the pizza was delicious and other dishes showcased local flavors. The pool area was perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure, and the whole atmosphere of the lodge was peaceful and inviting. If you're looking for a base to explore the wonders of Kakadu, Cooinda Lodge is the perfect place to stay.
